LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Connor Filipowski of Warwick
Valley High School upon the occasion of his selection as a U. S.
Lacrosse All-American boys lacrosse player

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body takes pleasure in honoring talented high
school athletes who distinguish themselves and their community through
outstanding athletic performance; and
WHEREAS, Athletic competition enhances the moral and physical develop-
ment of the young people of this State, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the value of teamwork, encouraging a standard of
healthy living, imparting a desire for success and developing a sense of
fair play and competition; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Connor Filipowski of Warwick Valley High School upon the occasion
of his selection as a U. S. Lacrosse All-American boys lacrosse player;
and
WHEREAS, Connor Filipowski has distinguished himself as a young man of
superlative ability, talent, and maturity, establishing standards of
excellence and achievement, purposefulness of life, and responsibility
rarely achieved in youthful years; and
WHEREAS, A gifted member of the Warwick Valley High School Lacrosse
Team, Connor Filipowski 's perseverance in rising through the ranks of
high school lacrosse players is a strong indication of his ability to
master difficult tasks; his accomplishments will enable him to emerge as
a leader, fully equipped to meet the challenges of today's complex soci-
ety; and
WHEREAS, In order to be selected as a member of the U.S. Lacrosse
All-American Team, a player must be a first team member of the All-
State, All-County or All-League team; players must also be of outstand-
ing character, be in good academic standing, and demonstrate good
sportsmanship and safe play; and
WHEREAS, In addition to Connor Filipowski's superior lacrosse skills
and techniques, his exceptional game sense and knowledge have made him
the best lacrosse player from his area; and
WHEREAS, Excellence and success in competitive sports can be achieved
only through strenuous practice; Connor Filipowski's dedication to
lacrosse is a year-round, everyday commitment; he is highly focused and
has developed a matchless work ethic; and
WHEREAS, Connor Filipowski's exemplary performance in lacrosse is
reflective of his dedication, determination and personal commitment; his
achievements stand as a hallmark of what is best in the families,
schools and communities across New York State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Connor Filipowski of Warwick Valley High School upon the
occasion of his selection as a U.S. Lacrosse All-American, and to
commend him for the enduring honor he has brought to his family, school
and community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Connor Filipowski.
