LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring A. Yvette Rose upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Pillar of Grace Award by Momentum Educa-
tion on June 28, 2016

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their valued
contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor A. Yvette Rose
upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the Pillar of Grace
Award by Momentum Education, to be celebrated at its 13th Anniversary
Party on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Taj Lounge in New York City; and
WHEREAS, Momentum Education is a prominent organization, known for
providing quality results, driven coaching, dynamic personal development
workshops and highly experiential team building and professional devel-
opment courses; and
WHEREAS, This vital organization empowers its members to become power-
ful, decisive and effective with renewed passion, inspiration and clari-
ty; and
WHEREAS, A. Yvette Rose has been called upon to contribute her time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, A member of Leadership Team 120, A. Yvette Rose is the true
embodiment of commitment, and a shining example for all who have crossed
her path at Momentum Education and beyond; and
WHEREAS, Two months into her leadership journey, in January of 2015,
A. Yvette Rose was faced with major life challenges; overcoming much
adversity, this courageous woman pressed through completion of her Lead-
ership courses and, thinking of others, raised significant funds for St.
Jude's Children's Hospital; and
WHEREAS, A. Yvette Rose began her illustrious career in the New York
State Unified Court System as a Principal Office Assistant; she then
rose through the ranks to become a Court Officer, a Court Officer
Sergeant, and lastly, an Associate Court Clerk, the esteemed position
from which she will retire after 30 years of distinguished service; and
WHEREAS, Active within her community, A. Yvette Rose has served the
Christian Cultural Center, and was instrumental in the creation of the
Sunday school curriculum for the children's ministry at Truth Center
Ministries, a ministry she ran for four years; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her 10 nieces and nephews, all
of whom feel privileged to be a part of her life and rejoice in her
achievements; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, A. Yvette Rose has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which A. Yvette Rose has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor A. Yvette Rose upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the Pillar of Grace Award by Momentum Education on June 28, 2016; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to A. Yvette Rose.
