LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring outgoing President Denise R. Langweber,
Esq. for her distinguished service to the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce on
March 12, 2015

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those individuals who have given of themselves in support of the
good works and worthy accomplishments of organizations dedicated to
fellowship and service to the community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
outgoing President Denise R. Langweber, Esq. for her distinguished
service to the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce to be celebrated at its Annu-
al Installation of Officers and Trustees Event on Thursday, March 12,
2015, at the Riviera, Massapequa, New York; and
WHEREAS, Denise R. Langweber has been called upon to contribute her
time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has
always given of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra
University, Denise R. Langweber went on to earn a Juris Doctor degree
from Hofstra University School of Law; she was admitted to the Bar in
1982; and
WHEREAS, Denise R. Langweber has maintained a successful general law
practice, Langweber Law, in Nassau County, for the past 30 years; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure, Denise R. Langweber has served as a
Law Guardian, representing children in Family and Supreme Court
proceedings, and has argued before the New York State Court of Appeals;
and
WHEREAS, In addition to the esteemed position of Wantagh Chamber of
Commerce President, Denise R. Langweber is a member of the First Ameri-
can Title Insurance Company of New York Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, Denise R. Langweber has received an AV rating from Martin-
dale-Hubbell, an award issued by her peers for the highest professional
excellence; in 2011, she was the proud recipient of the Wantagh Chamber
of Commerce's Small Business Person of the Year Award; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Denise R. Langweber has stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Denise R. Langweber has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, it is appropriate to publicly proclaim and commend those individ-
uals for the edification and emulation of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor outgoing President Denise R. Langweber, Esq. for her distinguished
service to the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Denise R. Langweber, Esq.
