LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Jasmine Ferguson upon the occasion of
her retirement after 30 years of distinguished service on February 22,
2015
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and honor
those distinguished citizens of this great Empire State who have devoted
themselves to faithfully serving the best interests of their community
and the needs of its residents; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Jasmine
Ferguson upon the occasion of her retirement after 30 years of distin-
guished service celebrated at a service on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at
the Trinity New Testament Church, Brooklyn, New York; and
WHEREAS, In November of 2014, Missionary Jasmine Ferguson retired
after proudly serving today's youth in the classroom; for six years she
worked with students in Jamaica, West Indies, and for over 24 years, she
was employed by both The Bethlehem Private School and PS 106 in Brook-
lyn; and
WHEREAS, Jasmine Ferguson also held the positions of both General
Secretary and Senior Choir Director, and was a member of the Executive
Board at the Trinity New Testament Church; and
WHEREAS, Jasmine Ferguson has clearly had an enduring impact on the
youth of the Brooklyn community, as well as on the community-at-large,
and accordingly merits recognition and applause for her impressive dedi-
cation to others; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Jasmine Ferguson has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Jasmine Ferguson upon the occasion of her retirement after 30
years of distinguished service on February 22, 2015; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jasmine Ferguson.
