LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the pastoral installation of Rever-
end Vincent G. Chirichella of Our Lady of Grace Church, Brooklyn, New
York, on March 22, 2015

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to bring full recog-
nition and just tribute to those men and women of religious commitment
who accept the responsibility of moral leadership and render the wisdom
of human understanding; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the pastoral installation of Reverend Vincent G. Chirichella, to
be celebrated at an Installation Mass at Our Lady of Grace Church, in
Brooklyn, New York, on Sunday, March 22, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Vincent G. Chirichella was born on November 4, 1968, in
Brooklyn, New York, to John and Michela Chirichella; he went to Our Lady
of Mount Carmel School in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and graduated from
Christ the King High School in Middle Village, Queens, New York; and
WHEREAS, Upon his graduation from high school, Vincent G. Chirichella
attended and graduated from the Catholic Medical Center School of
Radiology in Manchester, New Hampshire; he was employed as an X-Ray
Technologist until 1999; and
WHEREAS, In 1999, Vincent G. Chirichella decided to make a career and
life change; he was accepted to the Cathedral Seminary Residence in
Douglaston, Queens, and in 2002, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Philosophy from Saint Francis College in Brooklyn; and
WHEREAS, Vincent G. Chirichella's post graduate studies were at the
Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington, New York; in 2007,
he earned both a Master of Arts degree and a Master of Divinity degree;
and
WHEREAS, On June 2, 2007, Vincent G. Chirichella was ordained a Priest
of Jesus Christ by The Most Reverend Nicholas DiMarzio; and
WHEREAS, Prior to his arrival at Our Lady of Grace Church, Reverend
Vincent G. Chirichella served as Parochial Vicar at Saint Luke Church in
Whitestone, Queens, and Pastor of Saint Dominic Church, in Bensonhurst,
Brooklyn; and
WHEREAS, This distinguished man of God has always given enlightenment,
guidance and wisdom to the many entrusted to his care and has adminis-
tered abundantly and unstintingly to the spiritual and corporal needs of
all; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when a person
of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our attention, it
is appropriate to publicly and jubilantly proclaim and commend that
individual for the edification of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the pastoral installation of Reverend Vincent G. Chirichella
of Our Lady of Grace Church, Brooklyn, New York, on March 22, 2015; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Reverend Vincent G. Chirichella.
