LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Martin, Harding & Mazzotti upon the
occasion of its designation for special recognition by Hope House

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Martin, Harding & Mazzotti upon the occasion of its designation for
special recognition by Hope House which was celebrated at its Annual
Circle of Hope Dinner on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Wolferts Roost
Country Club in Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, Hope House was founded over 45 years ago in recognition of
the need in the community to have quality substance abuse treatment
services available in Upstate New York; and
WHEREAS, While it started as a modest residential facility, Hope House
has grown into multiple programs providing services for adults, adoles-
cents, and women with children, as well as outpatient and preventative
services, mental health services, and a supportive housing program; and
WHEREAS, In 1994, Martin, Harding & Mazzotti was formed by Bruce
Martin, Paul Harding, and Victor Mazzotti who joined together to estab-
lish a law firm dedicated solely to the representation of injured indi-
viduals, with an emphasis on providing each client with an exemplary
level of service; and
WHEREAS, Though Martin, Harding & Mazzotti started with a few employ-
ees in Schenectady, New York, the firm has since grown to 70 employees
with staffed offices in Niskayuna and Albany, New York, as well as
Manchester and Burlington, Vermont; and
WHEREAS, Martin, Harding & Mazzotti is a community leader in its
efforts to reduce driving under the influence of alcohol by offering a
free cab ride home program on major holidays; the program keeps those
individuals from driving under the influence by providing them with a
safe alternative to get home; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals and organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by
all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Martin, Harding & Mazzotti upon the occasion of its designation
for special recognition by Hope House; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Martin, Harding & Mazzotti.
