LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Coro New York Leadership Center upon
the occasion of hosting its Annual Gala on April 22, 2015
WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Coro New York Leadership Center upon the occasion of hosting its Annual
Gala on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, in Manhattan's Gotham Hall; and
WHEREAS, Four hundred New Yorkers will gather as Coro New York Leader-
ship Center, the City's premier leadership training program, hosts its
Annual Gala "30 Years of Visionary Leaders"; and
WHEREAS, A significant amount is expected to be raised to benefit
Coro's leadership training programs, providing the City's top talent
with skills, knowledge, and a network to influence meaningful change;
and
WHEREAS, The auspicious event honors outstanding leaders with the
vision and drive to create purposeful change in their communities; this
year's honorees include John H. Alschuler, Chairman, HR&A Advisors,
Inc., and Suri Kasirer, President, Kasirer Consulting LLC; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Donald Gips, Senior Counselor, Albright Stone-
bridge Group, Former US Ambassador to South Africa, will receive the
Alumni Impact Award; he is a member of the first class of Fellows in New
York City 30 years ago; and
WHEREAS, Coro is a community of 2,100 alumni across business, govern-
ment, schools and non-profits with the belief that a single person, with
sufficient drive and passion, is what will make New York a better place
for all who live and work there; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals and organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by
all the citizens of the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Coro New York Leadership Center upon the occasion of hosting its
Annual Gala on April 22, 2015; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Coro New York Leadership Center, and the aforementioned
honorees.
