LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Beachside Grill, City Chicks, and New
Direction Family Consignment upon the occasion of their designation as
recipients of the 2014 Emerging Business of the Year Award by the
Evans-Brant Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses which substantially
contribute to the economic vitality of their communities they serve; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Beachside Grill, City Chicks, and New Direction Family Consignment upon
the occasion of their designation as recipients of the 2014 Emerging
Business of the Year Award by the Evans-Brant Chamber of Commerce to be
celebrated at its Annual President's Award and Recognition Dinner on
Saturday, March 21, 2015, at the Pioneer Camp and Retreat Center in
Angola, New York; and
WHEREAS, Each year, the Evans-Brant Chamber of Commerce recognizes
outstanding individuals and businesses that have made extraordinary
contributions to both the Chamber and the community over the past year;
Beachside Grill, City Chicks, and New Direction Family Consignment are
such businesses; and
WHEREAS, Emerging business owners exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit
which has fueled our State and Nation since their founding; and
WHEREAS, Events which honor emerging businesses help to enhance the
free enterprise system upon which our Nation was built; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body that when busi-
nesses of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges these exceptional businesses and their contributions to the local
and State economies, fully confident they will continue to enjoy the
sparkling success they have experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Beachside Grill, City Chicks, and New Direction Family Consignment
upon the occasion of their designation as recipients of the 2014 Emerg-
ing Business of the Year Award by the Evans-Brant Chamber of Commerce;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Beachside Grill, City Chicks, and New Direction Family
Consignment.
