LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring the Pioneer Camp and Retreat Center upon
the occasion of its designation as recipient of the 2014 Not-for-Profit
of the Year Award by the Evans-Brant Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor the
Pioneer Camp and Retreat Center upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the 2014 Not-for-Profit of the Year Award by the Evans-
Brant Chamber of Commerce to be celebrated at its Annual President's
Award and Recognition Dinner on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at the Pioneer
Camp and Retreat Center in Angola, New York; and
WHEREAS, Each year, the Evans-Brant Chamber of Commerce recognizes
outstanding individuals and organizations that have made extraordinary
contributions to both the Chamber and the community over the past year;
Pioneer Camp and Retreat Center is one such organization; and
WHEREAS, Individuals and organizations such as the Pioneer Camp and
Retreat Center devoted to improving the quality of life for others,
enabling them to build lives of dignity and self-worth are deserving of
the highest praise and recognition; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body that when indi-
viduals and organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by
all the citizens of this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges the Pioneer Camp and Retreat Center and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident that it will continue to
enjoy the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, there-
fore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the Pioneer Camp and Retreat Center upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the 2014 Not-for-Profit of the Year Award by
the Evans-Brant Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Pioneer Camp and Retreat Center.
