LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION mourning the death of Sandra L. Wood, distin-
guished citizen and devoted member of her community

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Sandra L. Wood died on February 20, 2015, in Binghamton, New
York, at the age of 52; and
WHEREAS, Sandra L. Wood distinguished herself in her profession and by
her sincere dedication and substantial contribution to the welfare of
her community; and
WHEREAS, Sandy L. Wood worked for G. DeVincentis Construction as well
as the Binghamton Senators for many years; she was a dog lover who had a
bubbly personality and always smiled; and
WHEREAS, Sandra L. Wood's commitment to excellence, and her spirit of
humanity, carried over into all fields of enterprise, including charita-
ble and civic endeavors; and
WHEREAS, Predeceased by her grandparents, Attilio and Loretta Calabri-
si, and Charles and Eleanor Knopick; and her husband, Christopher Weber,
Sandra L. Wood is survived by her parents, Robert and Mary Lou Knopick;
a brother, Robert Knopick II; uncles, Richard Calabrisi and Tom and
Beverly Knopick; and Aunt Linda and Thomas Hanks; as well as several
cousins; special friends, Kara, Nicole, Carl, Tom Mitchell, Joe DeVin-
centis, Tony DeVincentis; and her canine companions, Dooley, Sweetpea
and Buster; and
WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Sandra L. Wood leaves behind a legacy which will long endure
the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all she
served and befriended; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Sandra L. Wood, distinguished citizen and devoted
member of her community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the family of Sandra L. Wood.
