LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Andrew R. Fish upon the occasion of
stepping down as Executive Director of the Cayuga County Chamber of
Commerce and Cayuga Economic Development Agency after many years of
invaluable public service

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and honor
those distinguished citizens who demonstrate great courage and diligence
in providing for the care and welfare of the citizens of their communi-
ties and this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Within every community of the State of New York there are
certain individuals who, by virtue of their commitment and dedication,
command the respect and admiration of their community for their exem-
plary contributions and service on behalf of others; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Andrew R. Fish upon the occasion of stepping down as Executive Director
of the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce and Cayuga Economic Development
Agency after many years of invaluable public service; and
WHEREAS, Andrew R. Fish, the Executive Director of the Cayuga County
Chamber of Commerce and Cayuga Economic Development Agency (CEDA), will
leave both positions to take a new job with CenterState CEO, a major
economic development organization aiding businesses in central and
northern New York; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Andrew R. Fish has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, A Chicago-area native, Andrew R. Fish moved to Cayuga County
in 2002 with his wife, Kim; during this time, he was the Vice Principal
at Union Springs Academy before he was hired to serve as Executive
Director of the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce in 2009; he was named
CEDA's interim director in 2012; and
WHEREAS, During his illustrious tenure, Andrew R. Fish oversaw the
Chamber's move to its current location, and led the establishment of a
one-stop shop to help businesses access financial support and other
important information; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Andrew R. Fish was instrumental in several
economic development projects throughout the county; and
WHEREAS, As Executive Director of the Cayuga County Chamber of
Commerce and Cayuga Economic Development Agency, Andrew R. Fish served
with loyalty, honor and distinction, earning him the admiration, esteem
and affection of his colleagues and the community-at-large; and
WHEREAS, After serving Auburn and Cayuga County for more than six
years in this capacity, Andrew R. Fish will officially step down on
April 4, 2016; his new title will be Senior Vice President of Business
Development at CenterState CEO, where he will focus on integrating the
organization's economic development and membership divisions; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Andrew R. Fish has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Andrew R. Fish upon the occasion of stepping down as Executive
Director of the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce and Cayuga Economic

Development Agency after many years of invaluable public service; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Andrew R. Fish.
