LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Lee's Auto
Body
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
important milestones in those businesses within the State of New York
which have contributed to the economic health and vitality of the commu-
nities they serve; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 100th Anniversary of Lee's Auto Body; and
WHEREAS, For the past century, Lee's Auto Body of East Islip, New
York, has proudly offered the finest quality workmanship and outstanding
service to its customers; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1916, Lee's Auto Body was founded in Long
Island City, New York, by Lee Heimuller, a blacksmith who saw the need
for a repair shop to service the many automobiles which were just start-
ing to become common on American streets; and
WHEREAS, During the 1930s, Lee Heimuller moved Lee's Auto Body to East
Islip, and his son, Herman, continued on the family's tradition of
excellence; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the years, Lee's Auto Body has become a trusted
source for multiple generations of Long Island families who have come to
appreciate this remarkable company's caring concern and attention to
detail; and
WHEREAS, Under the luminous guidance of Company President, Gary Teich,
Lee's Auto Body remains committed to offering the finest service and
products to the East Islip area and beyond for many years to come; and
WHEREAS, The success of Lee's Auto Body over the years is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its management and staff, whose involve-
ment is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment,
an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the company and the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges this exceptional business and its contributions to the local and
State economies, fully confident it will continue to enjoy the sparkling
successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Lee's Auto Body; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Gary Teich, President, Lee's Auto Body.
