LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the Long Island Builders Institute
upon the occasion of its 75th Anniversary Gala, a celebration honoring
its Past Presidents and Associate Vice Presidents
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals that are devoted to the welfare of the community
and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the Long Island Builders Institute upon the occasion of its 75th Anni-
versary Gala, a celebration honoring its Past Presidents and Associate
Vice Presidents on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the Huntington Crescent
Club; and
WHEREAS, This year's Diamond Anniversary honorees are Mike Kelly,
Immediate Past President; Alex Ornstein, Immediate Past President; and
Paul Musso, Associate of the Year; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1941, the Long Island Builders Institute is an
association of building industry professionals who are dedicated to
making Long Island a better place to live and work, by creating a
balance between the economy, the environment and the achievement of the
American Dream of Ownership in all of our communities; and
WHEREAS, This vital organization represents builders, remodelers,
commercial, residential, multi-family developers, rental buildings as
well as general contractors and professionals serving Long Island; and
WHEREAS, Over its distinguished 75 year history, the Long Island
Builders Institute has demonstrated continuous service to the residents
and communities which it serves; and
WHEREAS, The success of the Long Island Builders Institute is in
direct correlation to the efforts of its members and staff, whose
involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive
commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of
excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the organization and the commu-
nity it serves; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to the Long Island Build-
ers Institute; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be recognized and applauded by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Long Island Builders Institute upon the occasion of its 75th
Anniversary Gala, a celebration honoring its Past Presidents and Associ-
ate Vice Presidents; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Long Island Builders Institute.
