LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 100th Anniversary of
MILGO/BUFKIN Metal Fabricators of Brooklyn, New York
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
important milestones in those businesses within the State of New York
which have contributed to the economic health and vitality of the commu-
nities they serve; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 100th Anniversary of MILGO/BUFKIN Metal Fabricators of Brook-
lyn, New York; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1916, MILGO/BUFKIN of Brooklyn, New York, has
grown from a small metal shop with one press brake and a handful of
employees into one of the foremost fabricators of custom metal and fine
sculptures in the world; and
WHEREAS, A privately owned business for four generations, MILGO/BUFKIN
has a century of experience fabricating fine metalwork which has
contributed to the New York City skyline and cities throughout the coun-
try and around the world; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, this esteemed local business has combined
state-of-the-art technology with old-world craftsmanship to transform
stainless steel, steel, aluminum, bronze, titanium, and other metals
into objects of great beauty and utility; and
WHEREAS, Known for its exceptional quality and ability to provide
creative solutions to demanding metal requirements, MILGO/BUFKIN has
become the metal-working company of choice for architects and designers
who require the finest workmanship and service with competitive pricing;
and
WHEREAS, Today, MILGO/BUFKIN's signature metal work can be found
worldwide from contemporary banks in Turkey to sculptures in Paris and
Switzerland, to glittering metal canopies on Fifth Avenue; and
WHEREAS, The success of MILGO/BUFKIN over the years is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its ownership and staff, whose involvement
is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the company and the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges this exceptional business and its contributions to the local and
State economies, fully confident it will continue to enjoy the sparkling
successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 100th Anniversary of MILGO/BUFKIN Metal Fabricators of
Brooklyn, New York; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to MILGO/BUFKIN Metal Fabricators.
