LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.'s Rho
Psi Lambda Chapter upon the occasion of its designation for special
recognition for its Alpha Eagle Boys Club Program

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.'s Rho PsiLambda Chapter upon the occa-
sion of its designation for special recognition for its Alpha Eagle Boys
Club Program; and
WHEREAS, The Rho Psi Lambda Fraternity, in conjunction with its parent
organization, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. oversees and manages the
Alpha Eagle Boys Club in the Bronx, where it provides educational,
recreational and cultural programs for boys; and
WHEREAS, Through leadership and civic training workshops, Rho Psi
Lambda works to create the next generation of minority leaders and
engaged leaders; and
WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to recognize and pay tribute to Rho Psi Lambda's Alpha Eagle Boys
Program for work in strengthening the Bronx community; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when organiza-
tions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.'s Rho Psi Lambda Chapter upon
the occasion of its designation for special recognition for its Alpha
Eagle Boys Club Program; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Rho Psi Lambda.
