LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the vital work of the Cary Leeds
Center for Tennis and Learning in Crotona Park, Bronx, New York, which
provides numerous opportunities for young people in its community

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor those organ-
izations and individuals who faithfully devote their purposeful energies
to fostering opportunities for and to contributing to the quality of
life for the youth of the communities they serve; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the vital work of the Cary Leeds Center for Tennis and Learning in
Crotona Park, Bronx, New York, which provides numerous opportunities for
young people in its community; and
WHEREAS, The Cary Leeds Center for Tennis and Learning has served the
interests of the people of the Empire State by providing athletic and
academic facilities as well as academic programs for the youth of The
Bronx for numerous years; and
WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to recognize and pay tribute to the Cary Leeds Center for Tennis
and Learning; and
WHEREAS, Community athletic groups such as the Cary Leeds Center for
Tennis and Learning help to provide a strong and stable environment for
young people and provide an opportunity for the community to bond
through the recreation of sports competition; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Cary Leeds Center for Tennis and Learning for providing
numerous opportunities for young people in its Bronx community; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Cary Leeds Center for Tennis and Learning.
