LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Jacobs
Press of Auburn, New York
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize those
illustrious pioneer companies of the State of New York whose focus and
intent have made a substantial impact on the quality of life in their
communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 100th Anniversary of Jacobs Press of Auburn, New York; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1915, by Harry Jacobs, Jacobs Press strives to
provide local businesses with quality products to help them better
communicate with their customers; and
WHEREAS, Located in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region, Jacobs Press
serves such diverse industries as education, health care, manufacturing,
and tourism; it places a strong focus on providing the same attention to
detail on projects large and small; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the past 100 years, this remarkable company has
maintained its commitment to offering outstanding products and services
to the people of Auburn, New York; and
WHEREAS, In 1920, Victor H. Fandrich joined Jacob Press; after Harry
Jacobs' death, he assumed full ownership of the company; and
WHEREAS, A family-owned business across multiple generations, Jacobs
Press has been guided by the Fandrich and Trapani families since 1955;
and
WHEREAS, In 1960, Victor Fandrich passed down ownership to his son,
Victor W. Fandrich, who, 23 years later, would pass it down again to his
son-in-law, Michael Trapani, the current President; and
WHEREAS, Today, Jacobs Press continues its tradition of excellence,
responding to its customers' changing needs and investing in the latest
technology; and
WHEREAS, This vital business specializes in business documents,
marketing collateral, direct mail, and literature fulfillment; Jacobs
Press work with each client to create specialized printed pieces meeting
unique requirements; and
WHEREAS, Moreover, Jacobs Press can FSC certify any project, ensuring
that the forest products used are from responsibly harvest and verified
sources; and
WHEREAS, More than just a printing business, Jacobs Press offers each
customer added value services such as marketing consultation and effec-
tive direct mail strategies; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body acknowl-
edges contributions of Jacobs Press to the local and State economies,
and extends its highest commendation to this corporate enterprise, fully
confident that it will continue to enjoy the sparkling success it has
enjoyed thus far; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Jacobs Press of Auburn, New York;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Michael Trapani, President, Jacobs Press.
