LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Lloyd Harbor School upon the occa-
sion of being named a Top 100 Elementary School in New York State

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those institutions of true purpose and high achievement whose
exemplary programs and accomplishments clearly demonstrate an enduring
pursuit of excellence in the education of the youth of the Empire State;
and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Lloyd Harbor School upon the occasion of being named a Top 100
Elementary School in New York State; and
WHEREAS, Lloyd Harbor School is the 60th best public elementary school
in New York, based on new rankings of the Top 100 schools in the state
from Niche.com; this exemplary school, in the Cold Spring Harbor School
District, is the highest ranked school in Suffolk County; and
WHEREAS, Under the luminous direction of Principal Valerie R. Massimo,
Lloyd Harbor School has continually demonstrated an impressive dedi-
cation, an unparalleled devotion and an unremitting enthusiasm for the
quality of educational programs and opportunities offered for the bene-
fit of its faculty and students as well as for the entire community; and
WHEREAS, Lloyd Harbor School is an exceptional academic institution in
terms of teachers, students, resources for learning, and student
outcomes; in addition, the school is made up of a diverse population and
fosters an accepting, positive school culture; and
WHEREAS, The steadfast and unyielding commitment of parents, educators
and administrators to provide the highest quality education for students
has become the hallmark and tradition of the Cold Spring Harbor School
District; and
WHEREAS, Within the 21st Century, Lloyd Harbor School stands prepared
to reach out, in earnest and enthusiastic quest of its mission, to
promote the maximum growth of every student, establishing standards and
building skills which will carry its students and the citizens of its
community into the future; and
WHEREAS, Lloyd Harbor School is proudly aware of its distinguished
past, eager to fulfill its present commitment to parents, students and
the community, and planning with vision and purpose for the ebb and
swell of growth and change it will encounter in the years to come; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Lloyd Harbor School upon the occasion of being named a Top
100 Elementary School in New York State; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Valerie R. Massimo, Principal, Lloyd Harbor School.
