LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Jonathan D. Warner upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of the Kurt Clobridge Memorial Award by the
Legal Project

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those organiza-
tions and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Jonathan D. Warner upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Kurt Clobridge Memorial Award by the Legal Project which was cele-
brated at the Legal Project's Pro Bono Awards Luncheon on Wednesday,
October 15, 2014, at the Century House in Latham, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Kurt Clobridge Memorial Award is given to attorneys who
embody the spirit of pro bono volunteerism and selflessness which Kurt
Clobridge, an active participant in the Legal Project's programs, exem-
plified during his life; and
WHEREAS, Jonathan D. Warner graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta
Kappa from the State University of New York at Albany in 2007, and
received his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law in
2011; and
WHEREAS, While in law school, this esteemed man participated in the
Jessup International Moot Court Team, served as an elected student lead-
er in two student organizations, worked as the senior research assistant
at his law school's low income taxpayer clinic, and served as a judicial
intern with the Unites States District Court and the United States Bank-
ruptcy Court for the Northern District of New York; and
WHEREAS, Jonathan D. Warner is the co-founder and managing partner at
the Albany-based law firm Warner & Warner, PLLC; he focuses his practice
in the areas of consumer bankruptcy law, consumers' rights law, foreclo-
sure defense law, and loss mitigation assistance; and
WHEREAS, With a sense of civic responsibility, Jonathan D. Warner has
been a volunteer with the Legal Project as a pro bono attorney since
2013; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his pro bono service, Jonathan D. Warner has
helped to fill the gap of unmet legal needs in New York; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jonathan D. Warner upon the occasion of his designation as recipi-
ent of the Kurt Clobridge Memorial Award by the Legal Project; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jonathan D. Warner.
