Assembly Resolution No. 1076

in relation to the election and seating of
Nathalia Fernandez as a Member of the Assembly from
the 80th Assembly District

WHEREAS, There is a vacancy existing in the membership of this
House, which was filled at a special election held on April 24, 2018;
and

WHEREAS, The final official canvass of the votes cast at said
election and certification thereof of the person elected thereat, cannot
be made at this time; and

WHEREAS, The board of elections of the state of New York has advised
that the votes cast for the Office of Member of Assembly in the 80th
Assembly District in the county of Bronx shown by its canvass were
respectively as follows: Nathalia Fernandez, Democratic and
Independence, one thousand six hundred sixty-nine, and Gene Defrancis,
Republican, Conservative, and Reform, three hundred sixty-nine; and

WHEREAS, It appears that the results of the votes cast in said
Assembly District cannot be affected by the final official canvass of
such voters; and

WHEREAS, Nathalia Fernandez has duly taken an oath of office as a
Member of Assembly; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That Nathalia Fernandez, Democratic and Independence, is
duly elected and qualified as a Member of the Assembly for her
respective district and that she be seated in this House as such Member.
