HONORING Wahl to Wahl Auto upon the occasion of
receiving the Otsego County Chamber of Commerce 2016
Key Bank, NA 17th Annual Small Business of the Year
Award on October 20, 2016
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses that contribute
substantially to the economic vitality of their communities, thereby
enhancing economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Wahl to Wahl Auto upon the occasion of receiving the Otsego County
Chamber of Commerce 2016 Key Bank, NA 17th Annual Small Business of the
Year Award celebrated at its Small Business Banquet on Thursday, October
20, 2016, at The Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, New York; and
WHEREAS, Now in its 30th year, the Otsego County Chamber of Commerce
has served the businesses and communities of Otsego County with programs
and services designed to foster strong economic growth and make the
county a great place to live and work; it is proud to be a vibrant and
active organization which strives to evolve and adapt to the changing
needs of the business community; and
WHEREAS, The Otsego County Chamber of Commerce annually presents its
Small Business of the Year Award to an Otsego County business enterprise
which has made a sustained and substantial impact in the community; and
WHEREAS, Wahl to Wahl Auto in Cooperstown, New York, has earned this
distinguished honor for its modernized and upgraded facilities which
offer some of the newest industry technologies for auto recyclers; and
WHEREAS, Through the years, Wahl to Wahl Auto has sustained
impressive growth including more than tripling its sales and tripling
the number of employees; this commitment to the broad community provides
an excellent buying experience for customers; and
WHEREAS, As an innovator and entrepreneur, Wahl to Wahl Auto was
nominated for this award by community members who recognize this
business as a leader in their community; and
WHEREAS, Wahl to Wahl Auto exemplifies the success and contributions
of small businesses, the spirit of collaboration as well as the drive to
develop our leaders of tomorrow; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business, its contributions to the local
and state economies, and its vibrant role in improving the quality of
life in its community, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy
the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Wahl to Wahl Auto upon the occasion of receiving the Otsego County
Chamber of Commerce 2016 Key Bank, NA 17th Annual Small Business of the
Year Award on October 20, 2016; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Wahl to Wahl Auto.
