HONORING Raneta Holland upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the William B. Joslin
Outstanding Performance Award by New York State
Industries for the Disabled, Inc.
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay just tribute to those citizens who embody the true American spirit,
demonstrating personal courage and determination; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Raneta Holland upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
William B. Joslin Outstanding Performance Award by New York State
Industries for the Disabled, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, The Annual Joslin Awards Program of the New York State
Industries for the Disabled (NYSID) respectfully acknowledges
individuals in New York communities who strengthen the Preferred Source
Program through jobs well done; and
WHEREAS, Raneta Holland is an independent, energetic woman with a
friendly heart, a kind personality, and an engaging sense of humor; she
has taken various classes at the James E. Allen Learning Center where
she learned valuable vocational lessons which have been instrumental in
her career development; and
WHEREAS, Consistently demonstrating an outstanding job performance,
Raneta Holland is a valued member of The Arc of Monticello/Sullivan
County; through hard work and determination, she has held various jobs
and has learned many new skills along the way, working in packing,
labeling products and operating an L-Bar and heat sealer; and
WHEREAS, For the past three years, Raneta Holland has been working
in the C-Fold paper towel room with approximately six other individuals;
her job responsibilities include stacking, wrapping, making masters, and
packing the paper towels; and
WHEREAS, Raneta Holland is extremely focused and takes great pride
in her job; she is a very efficient employee and always makes sure that
her work is done correctly; and
WHEREAS, This exemplary woman has developed various workplace
skills, including an eagerness to learn, dedication to quality work,
self-confidence, determination, and teamwork qualities; she has worked
tremendously hard to succeed and improve her employment skills, and is
thrilled to have prospective job opportunities on the horizon; and
WHEREAS, In the faithful performance of her duties and
responsibilities, Raneta Holland's ongoing efforts and notable
achievements have significantly contributed to bettering the quality of
life in her community; and
WHEREAS, When she is not working, Raneta Holland enjoys spending
time with her loving and supportive family; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such enduring courage and accomplishment are brought to
our attention, it is appropriate to publicly proclaim and commend those
individuals for the edification and emulation of others; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Raneta Holland upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the William B. Joslin Outstanding Performance Award by New York State
Industries for the Disabled, Inc., and to wish her continued success in
all her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Raneta Holland.
