COMMENDING the Cobleskill Campus Child Care Center
upon the occasion of its designation as the 2016
Business Partner of the Year by the Schoharie County
Chamber of Commerce
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to commend those
illustrious organizations within the State of New York whose focus and
intent have made a substantial impact on the quality of life in their
communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the Cobleskill Campus Child Care Center upon the occasion of its
designation as the 2016 Business Partner of the Year by the Schoharie
County Chamber of Commerce, to be celebrated at its Annual Banquet and
Awards Ceremony on Friday, March 31, 2017, at the Red Barn Clubhouse,
Cobleskill, New York; and
WHEREAS, Located on West Main Street in Cobleskill, New York, the
Cobleskill Campus Child Care Center provides child care to SUNY
Cobleskill students, staff and faculty, as well as the local community;
and
WHEREAS, The Cobleskill Campus Child Care Center offers a
developmentally based program designed to enhance the physical,
intellectual, social and emotional development of young children;
curriculums are designed to focus on meeting children's individual
needs; and
WHEREAS, After identifying each child's abilities, needs,
developmental levels and learning styles, the teacher acts as a
facilitator, guiding the children and working beside them on a learning
journey to build their self-esteem and positive feelings toward
learning, all in a stimulating and challenging environment; and
WHEREAS, Parents are always welcome and are encouraged to visit the
Cobleskill Campus Child Care Center to observe and participate in the
program or communicate with the staff, who always do their best to
ensure that the family's experiences are happy, healthy, and
educational; and
WHEREAS, The Cobleskill Campus Child Care Center has been working
with the Workforce Solutions System and local young people for more than
five years in the Summer Youth Employment Program, helping local youth
gain vital work experience; and
WHEREAS, With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to instilling
youth with a work ethic that will last a lifetime, Maureen Maillard,
Executive Director, and Beth Dever, Administrative Manager, strive to be
excellent mentors, ensuring that their youth participants learn not only
the job skills but accountability for their actions; and
WHEREAS, The success of the Cobleskill Campus Child Care Center is
in direct correlation to the efforts of its staff, whose involvement is,
and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the organization and the community it serves;
and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to the Cobleskill Campus
Child Care Center; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be recognized and applauded by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Cobleskill Campus Child Care Center upon the occasion of its
designation as the 2016 Business Partner of the Year by the Schoharie
County Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Cobleskill Campus Child Care Center.
