COMMENDING Lake Shore Memorial Fund upon the
occasion of its designation as the 2016 Not For
Profit of the Year by the Evans-Brant Chamber of
Commerce

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those organizations within our midst which
have made significant contributions to the quality of life therein; and

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of
certain extraordinary individuals and organizations it wishes to
recognize for their valued contributions to the success and progress of
society and publicly acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the
basic humanity among us all; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Lake Shore
Memorial Fund upon the occasion of its designation as the 2016 Not For
Profit of the Year by the Evans-Brant Chamber of Commerce, to be
celebrated on Saturday, March 25, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Lake Shore Memorial Fund is a not for profit organization
steadfastly dedicated to helping those in need within the community of
Evans, New York; and

WHEREAS, This vital organization has been instrumental in the
success of such programs as, Adopt a Family and Random Acts of Kindness;
furthermore, in 2016, Lake Shore Memorial Fund purchased clothes and
toys for 43 local children during the holiday season; and

WHEREAS, With the vision that through kindness and generosity of
spirit, positive changes can be made, Lake Shore Memorial Fund was
established in 2008 by Lake Shore Central Alumni; and

WHEREAS, Over its distinguished nine year history, Lake Shore
Memorial Fund has demonstrated continuous service to the residents and
communities which it serves; and

WHEREAS, The success of Lake Shore Memorial Fund is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its volunteers, whose involvement is, and
always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled
enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all
endeavors on behalf of the organization and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Lake Shore Memorial
Fund; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be recognized and applauded by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Lake Shore Memorial Fund upon the occasion of its designation as
the 2016 Not For Profit of the Year by the Evans-Brant Chamber of
Commerce; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Lake Shore Memorial Fund.
