HONORING Frank Monaco upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of a Certificate of
Appreciation by the Schoharie County Chamber of
Commerce

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Frank Monaco has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Frank Monaco
upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of a Certificate of
Appreciation by the Schoharie County Chamber of Commerce, to be
celebrated at its Annual Banquet and Awards Ceremony on Friday, March
31, 2017, at the Red Barn Clubhouse, Cobleskill, New York; and

WHEREAS, Called upon to contribute his time and talents to countless
civic and charitable endeavors, Frank Monaco has always given of himself
unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, Frank Monaco worked 21 years for a New York City savings
bank in Midtown Manhattan until 1990, when he relocated to Schoharie
County; on February 6, 1991, he opened Value Village Wine and Liquor, a
liquor store located on Railroad Avenue in Middleburgh; and

WHEREAS, Frank Monaco holds a master of business administration
degree with a major in business management from New York Institute of
Technology in Westbury, New York; and

WHEREAS, A true asset to the community, Frank Monaco has served the
Middleburgh Merchants Association and has been instrumental in the
success of Middleburgh's revitalization efforts since the early 1990s;
and

WHEREAS, This esteemed man has also been an active member of the
Schoharie County Chamber's Business Generation Group since its
inception, as well as an active member of the Middleburgh Rotary Club
since November of 1990; in addition, he was the motivating force behind
The Timothy Murphy Yard Sale, Middleburgh's annual yard sale, which
began 17 years ago; and

WHEREAS, With him throughout has been his wife of 13 years, Sena,
whom feels privileged to be a part of his life and rejoices in his
achievements; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Frank Monaco has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Frank Monaco has displayed
throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Frank Monaco, that future generations may know and appreciate his
admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Frank Monaco upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
a Certificate of Appreciation by the Schoharie County Chamber of
Commerce; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Frank Monaco.
