COMMENDING Ronald Bucciero upon the occasion of
his retirement after 33 years of distinguished
service to the Central New York Regional
Transportation Authority

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those
individuals whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to
enhance the stature of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, For the past 33 years, Ronald Bucciero rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to the Central New York Regional
Transportation Authority (Centro); and

WHEREAS, On October 4, 1983, Ronald Bucciero began his long and
distinguished career as a bus driver with Centro; through the years, he
rose through the ranks holding several positions including Dispatcher,
Road Inspector, Director of Operations, and Generation Manger of UTA; on
April 1, 2005, he was appointed to the title of General Manger of Centro
in Oneida, a position from which he officially retired on March 25,
2017; and

WHEREAS, Through Ronald Bucciero's tireless efforts, Centro is a
strong supporter of the public and first responders of both the Utica
and Rome Fire Department and Police Departments; Centro of Oneida is
always available to provide services for the protection of the
responders during disasters and when large scale evacuations are needed;
and

WHEREAS, Under Ronald Bucciero's luminous leadership, Centro of
Oneida has supported and served numerous community organizations such as
VFW Post 229 during Veterans Day and July 4th events; and

WHEREAS, In addition to his work with Centro, Ronald Bucciero has
been a vital member of many local Boards of Directors including the
Cosmopolitan Center, Handicapped People of the Mohawk Valley, and
Elderlife - Parkway Community Center, where he has volunteered his time
and energy for over 20 years; and

WHEREAS, A true public servant, Ronald Bucciero is a member of the
Kiwanis Club and is a past board member of the Chamber of Commerce and
serves as the Chairperson of the United Way Senior Service Program
Committee; and

WHEREAS, In his capacity as a bus driver and manager, Ronald
Bucciero served with loyalty, honor and distinction; and

WHEREAS, In his official acts, Ronald Bucciero was governed by a
keen sense of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems;
and

WHEREAS, During his tenure with Centro, Ronald Bucciero earned the
admiration, esteem and affection of his colleagues; now, therefore, be
it


RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Ronald Bucciero upon the occasion of his retirement after 33
years of distinguished service to the Central New York Regional
Transportation Authority, and to wish him continued success in all his
future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Ronald Bucciero.
