HONORING St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital upon the
occasion of its designation as recipient of the
Leadership in Business Award by the SUNY Orange
Foundation

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality of life in the communities across this great State of New
York is enriched by the concerned and dedicated efforts of those
organizations of distinction whose singular purpose is the care and
welfare of others; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the Leadership in Business Award by the SUNY Orange
Foundation, to be celebrated at its Leadership Awards Ceremony on
Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Kaplan Hall, Newburgh, New York; and

WHEREAS, Our hospitals serve the vital purpose of providing for the
healthcare needs of our citizens through excellence in the delivery of
medical services; and

WHEREAS, Over its distinguished history, St. Luke's Cornwall
Hospital has demonstrated continuous service to the residents and
communities which it serves; and

WHEREAS, The success of St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its staff, whose involvement is, and
always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled
enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all
endeavors on behalf of the hospital and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, and its expert staff, has had
a long and sustained commitment to the health and welfare of the
citizens of Newburgh, New York, and therefore merits the highest
commendation of this Legislative Body; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital upon the occasion of its designation
as recipient of the Leadership in Business Award by the SUNY Orange
Foundation; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, New York.
