Senate Resolution No. 1557

HONORING Jesse Morrill upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the Sullivan
County Democrat 2017 Men at Work Edition

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Jesse Morrill has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special recognition; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Jesse
Morrill upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by
the Sullivan County Democrat 2017 Men at Work Edition; and

WHEREAS, Jesse Morrill serves as a Health and Safety Coordinator for
Sullivan County BOCES where he provides school districts with a
proactive approach to health, safety and environmental issues including
inspections, trainings, consultations, and regulatory compliance; and

WHEREAS, In addition to handling the Health and Safety services, he
provides risk management, technical assistance and facilitates training
for Sullivan County BOCES as well as local school districts; and

WHEREAS, Prior to his position with Sullivan County BOCES, Jesse
Morrill served as a Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Newburgh
for 17 years; and

WHEREAS, Jesse Morrill graduated from Marlboro High School and went
on to earn a master's degree in Public Administration from Marist
College; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and
community service, a period of constructive involvement, Jesse Morrill
has stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Angela, and their
two daughters, Ava and Taylor, all of whom have shown him love and
support and rejoice in his many achievements; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jesse Morrill upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Sullivan County Democrat 2017 Men at Work Edition;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jesse Morrill.
