HONORING John McFall, Jr. upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Michael J. Dundon
Service to Youth Award by the Town of Hamburg on
April 25, 2017

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those
organizations and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare
of the community and its citizenry; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
John McFall, Jr. upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Michael J. Dundon Service to Youth Award by the Town of Hamburg, to
be celebrated at its 29th Annual Youth Bureau Service Awards and
Recognition Banquet on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Michael's Banquet
Facility in Hamburg, New York; and

WHEREAS, This award recognizes an employee who best exemplifies the
service of the late Michael J. Dundon, a longtime Executive Director of
the Youth Bureau who exhibited the highest degree of professionalism and
dedication to his work, and clearly went above and beyond his job
description to support the young people of Hamburg; John McFall, Jr. is
truly deserving of this prestigious award; and

WHEREAS, John McFall, Jr. has been called upon to contribute his
time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has
always given of himself unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his many years of community service, a period of
constructive involvement, John McFall, Jr. has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which John McFall, Jr. has
displayed throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor John McFall, Jr. upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the Michael J. Dundon Service to Youth Award by the Town of Hamburg;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to John McFall, Jr.
