HONORING Dana's Stylin' Pets upon the occasion of
its designation as recipient of the 2016 Citizen of
the Year Award by the Grand Island Chamber of
Commerce
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
small businesses greatly contribute to the economic vitality of
communities across New York State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Dana's Stylin' Pets upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of
the 2016 Citizen of the Year Award by the Grand Island Chamber of
Commerce on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in
Niagara Falls, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Citizen of the Year Award is presented annually to
businesses and individuals who have graciously given of their time and
energy and have truly made Grand Island a better place to live and work;
these individuals are the foundation and spirit of their great
community; and
WHEREAS, Small business owners exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit
which has fueled our State and Nation since their founding; and
WHEREAS, Events which honor small businesses help to enhance the
free enterprise system upon which our Nation was built; and
WHEREAS, Small businesses exert a strong positive influence on our
communities, and the future welfare of New York State depends on the
continued development of small businesses; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dana's Stylin' Pets upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the 2016 Citizen of the Year Award by the Grand Island
Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dana's Stylin' Pets.
