Senate Resolution No. 1769

COMMENDING Jeffrey and Mark Bryant upon the
occasion of their designation as recipients of the
Lifetime Achievement Award by the Bethlehem Chamber
of Commerce
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interest of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Jeffrey and Mark Bryant have given not only of their time
and energies but also of their competence, intelligence and leadership
and consequently have been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Jeffrey
and Mark Bryant upon the occasion of their designation as recipients of
the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce to
be celebrated at its Annual Dinner on Friday, April 28, 2017, at the
Colonie Golf and Country Club in Voorheesville, New York; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1957, the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce
works on a local and regional level to advance economic development and
foster a positive business environment; it offers resources for
residents, business, recreation and relocation in Bethlehem and the
surrounding region; and
WHEREAS, Jeffrey and Mark Bryant are the current owners of Bryant
Asset Protection in Slingerlands, New York, a business established in
1951, by Charles E. Bryant; today it remains a family-owned and
multi-generational, independent agency serving the local community and
the greater Capital Region; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, Bryant Asset Protection has grown, through
the acquisition of two other agencies turning into the full-service
insurance and financial services company it is today; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to the community, Bryant Asset Protection
supports numerous local causes including schools, charities, businesses
and people; these include Corporate Sponsorship of the Delmar Dash, the
annual run taking place in its community, Town of Bethlehem
Adopt-A-Highway sponsor, Annual Ride for Missing and Exploited Children,
and a breakfast at the Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless; and
WHEREAS, In 2010, Jeffrey and Mark Bryant created The Charles and
Carole Bryant Generation Grant Program to honor their parents by giving
back to their local community through a series of quarterly grants,
which result in worthwhile community projects in the area; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of their community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Jeffrey and Mark Bryant have stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by
individuals for the benefit of others which Jeffrey and Mark Bryant have
displayed throughout their lives; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Jeffrey and Mark Bryant upon the occasion of their designation
as recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Bethlehem Chamber
of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jeffrey and Mark Bryant.
