HONORING Steven B. Bouchey upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of the American Cancer
Society Gala of Hope Award
WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made
significant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Steven B.
Bouchey upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
American Cancer Society Gala of Hope Award to be celebrated on Saturday,
April 29, 2017, at the Hall of Springs in Saratoga Springs, New York;
and
WHEREAS, Steven B. Bouchey is both the President and CEO of Bouchey
Financial Group, Ltd.; in this capacity, he is responsible for working
with individuals, families and businesses on their financial planning
and investment management, as well as providing the strategic direction
for the firm and leading its investment committee; and
WHEREAS, Since 1986, Steven B. Bouchey has helped manage clients'
wealth with his team of seven professionals who assist him with client
relations and day-to-day operations; in addition, he is a well-known
speaker and is often quoted on current topics in the investment field;
and
WHEREAS, Upon receiving his professional designation of Certified
Financial Planner from The College of Financial Planning in Denver,
Colorado, in 1990, Steven B. Bouchey has actively pursued his education
ever since, participating in professional study programs and completing
advanced courses in the investment and financial planning field; and
WHEREAS, As founding partner of Bouchey & Clarke Benefits, Inc.,
Steven B. Bouchey provides group benefits and consulting services for
businesses throughout New York State; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to his community, Steven B. Bouchey currently
serves on the Board of Directors for Living Resources Foundation and is
an integral member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA); and
WHEREAS, Previously, Steven B. Bouchey has served on numerous boards
in various positions including: the Seton Health Board of Trustees
(currently St. Peters Health Partners), Chairman of Seton Health
Foundation, Vice President for the Albany Symphony Orchestra's Board of
Directors, member of the Board of Directors for Rensselaer County
Regional Chamber of Commerce, member of the Board of Directors of the
Diocese of Albany Foundation Advisory Committee, and Board of Directors
and Professional Advisory Committee of the Community of the Greater
Capital Region; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Steven B. Bouchey has
displayed throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Steven B. Bouchey upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the American Cancer Society Gala of Hope Award; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Steven B. Bouchey.
