HONORING Elizabeth "Bizzy" Coy upon the occasion
of her designation as recipient of a Young
Professionals Award by the Sullivan County Democrat

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Elizabeth "Bizzy" Coy upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of a Young Professionals Award by the Sullivan County Democrat; and

WHEREAS, Bizzy Coy was selected for this esteemed honor in
recognition of her hard work, ambition, and creativity, as well as for
her profound impact in and around the community of Sullivan County; and

WHEREAS, A resident of Yulan, New York, Bizzy Coy works as a
freelance writer and as a Program Director for the Delaware Valley Arts
Alliance (DVAA) in Narrowsburg, a position she has held for the past 10
months; and

WHEREAS, In this capacity, Bizzy Coy works with her staff to plan
and put together various cultural and performing arts programs to share
with the public; she heads both the Salon Series, which features
literary, film and performance arts on Saturdays throughout the winter,
and the Tusten Theatre Spring and Fall Cultural Series, which brings
musical and theatrical performances from guest artists to the
Narrowsburg stage; and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, she brings to the job her previous experience
working for the Blue Man Group in a variety of production, special
appearances and creative development; previous positions also include
her work with a senior copywriter and creative strategist for Situation
Interactive, where she worked with clients including those involved with
Broadway musicals and television shows; and

WHEREAS, As a vital arts organization, the Delaware Valley Arts
Alliance truly reaps the rewards of Bizzy Coy's experience as she shares
the power of the arts with the people of Sullivan County; and

WHEREAS, Bizzy Coy graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Theatre with a focus in Directing; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Elizabeth "Bizzy" Coy upon the occasion of her designation as

recipient of a Young Professionals Award by the Sullivan County
Democrat; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Elizabeth "Bizzy" Coy.
