HONORING Alexandria Rainey upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the Outstanding
Youth Award by the Town of Tonawanda Youth Board

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Alexandria
Rainey upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
Outstanding Youth Award by the Town of Tonawanda Youth Board, to be
celebrated at its 40th Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday, May 11, 2017,
at the Town of Tonawanda Senior Center in Tonawanda, New York; and

WHEREAS, Alexandria Rainey, a student at Ken Ton Career and
Technical, has been called upon to contribute her time and talents to
countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given of herself
unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Alexandria Rainey has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Alexandria Rainey has
displayed throughout her life; and

WHEREAS, With her sense of civic duty and her commitment to others,
Alexandria Rainey represents the best development of the potential which
is inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; now, therefore, be
it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Alexandria Rainey upon the occasion of her designation as
recipient of the Outstanding Youth Award by the Town of Tonawanda Youth
Board; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Alexandria Rainey.
