HONORING Mohamed Amin upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Outstanding Youth
Award by the Town of Tonawanda Youth Board
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Mohamed Amin
upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Outstanding
Youth Award by the Town of Tonawanda Youth Board, to be celebrated at
its 40th Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the Town of
Tonawanda Senior Center in Tonawanda, New York; and
WHEREAS, Mohamed Amin, a student at Sweet Home High School, has been
called upon to contribute his time and talents to countless civic and
charitable endeavors and has always given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Mohamed Amin has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Mohamed Amin has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, With his sense of civic duty and his commitment to others,
Mohamed Amin represents the best development of the potential which is
inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Mohamed Amin upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Outstanding Youth Award by the Town of Tonawanda Youth Board; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Mohamed Amin.
