HONORING James Dahlke upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Elsie Jepsen
Education Award by the Ken-Ton Friends of Youth
Foundation
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
James Dahlke upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
Elsie Jepsen Education Award by the Ken-Ton Friends of Youth Foundation;
and
WHEREAS, The Ken-Ton Friends of Youth Foundation exists to support
and promote those programs that foster the social, educational and
physical development of the youth in the Town of Tonawanda and Village
of Kenmore, and to encourage strong family values to ensure the youth
will become productive members of our community; and
WHEREAS, A young man of singular distinction, James Dahlke has
distinguished himself as a young man of superlative ability,
establishing a high standard of excellence and purposefulness of life
rarely achieved in youthful years; and
WHEREAS, James Dahlke, in achieving this high honor, may take just
pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of excellence he
brings to his family, friends, community and school; and
WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to wish James Dahlke continued success throughout his school years
and beyond; and
WHEREAS, With his sense of civic duty and his commitment to others,
James Dahlke represents the best development of the potential which is
inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor James Dahlke upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Elsie Jepsen Education Award by the Ken-Ton Friends of Youth
Foundation; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to James Dahlke.
