COMMENDING Susan Doyle upon the occasion of her
retirement after 27 years of distinguished service
to the Orange County School Boards Association

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
the significant milestones in the distinguished careers of esteemed
residents of this noble Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Susan Doyle upon the occasion of her retirement after 27 years
of distinguished service to Orange County School Boards Association, to
be celebrated at its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, June 7, 2017; she will
officially retire as Executive Director on Friday, June 30, 2017; and

WHEREAS, As Executive Director, Susan Doyle served with loyalty,
honor and distinction, was governed by a keen sense of duty and always
showed a unique grasp of human problems in her official acts; and

WHEREAS, Susan Doyle encouraged cooperation between the various
school boards in the interest of better education and facilitated the
exchange of information and best practices on school issues; and

WHEREAS, In this esteemed position, Susan Doyle provided the means
for member districts to voice their concern regarding legislation and
other matters as well as held meetings, workshops and seminars for
members, assisting members in every possible way with their school board
concerns; and

WHEREAS, For the past 27 years, Susan Doyle rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to the Orange County School Boards
Association, earning the admiration, esteem and affection of her
colleagues; and

WHEREAS, Prior to her career with the Orange County School Boards
Association, Susan Boyle was a long-serving member of the Pine Bush
Central School District and a member of the Mid-Hudson School Study
Council; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Susan Doyle upon the occasion of her retirement after 27 years
of distinguished service to the Orange County School Boards Association,
and to wish her well in all her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Susan Doyle.
