HONORING Linda Dansa upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the WINNY Award by WNY
United Against Drug & Alcohol Abuse, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to take note of
and publicly acknowledge individuals of remarkable integrity and
character whose endeavors have enhanced the quality of education in this
great State; and

WHEREAS, The result of many individual efforts, the excellence and
the success of Blasdell Elementary School is due in large part to the
efforts of Linda Dansa; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Linda Dansa
upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the WINNY Award by
WNY United Against Drug & Alcohol Abuse, Inc.; this momentous occasion
will be celebrated with a reception following the Buffalo Bisons Game,
designated as the Red Ribbon Game, on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at
Pettibones Grille, Buffalo, New York; and

WHEREAS, WNY United is a community based prevention agency designed
to increase awareness, educate and mobilize a broad cross-section of
individuals and groups to participate actively in proven strategies to
prevent substance abuse; and

WHEREAS, Principal at Blasdell Elementary, Linda Dansa has been
selected for this auspicious honor in recognition of her commitment and
support of the mission, activities and programs of WNY United that are
delivered to the youth in our communities; and

WHEREAS, A caring, competent and committed leader, Linda Dansa's
character and integrity are the hallmarks of her life and work as an
educational leader, a community volunteer and as a person; and

WHEREAS, The Erie County community is indeed fortunate and blessed
to have such a dedicated and respected leader; her wisdom and
contributions reach into every classroom, truly making a difference in
the lives of those lucky enough to work with her; and

WHEREAS, A significant contributor to education in New York State,
Linda Dansa has continually demonstrated an impressive dedication, an
unparalleled devotion and an unremitting enthusiasm for the quality of
the educational programs and opportunities offered at Blasdell
Elementary School for the benefit of its faculty and students, as well
as for the entire community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Linda Dansa upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the WINNY Award by WNY United Against Drug & Alcohol Abuse, Inc.; and be
it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Linda Dansa.
