Senate Resolution No. 2248

COMMENDING Samuel D. Cloud, DO, upon the occasion
of his designation for special recognition by the
Erie County Medical Center Foundation

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Samuel D. Cloud has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Samuel D. Cloud, DO, upon the occasion of his designation by the
Erie County Medical Center Foundation on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at its
2017 Springfest Gala at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center in
Buffalo, New York; and

WHEREAS, For his steadfast service as Associate Medical Director of
the Erie County Medical Center, Samuel D. Cloud has been designated as
its 2017 Distinguished Physician Honoree; and

WHEREAS, Samuel D. Cloud has been called upon to contribute his time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of himself unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Samuel D. Cloud has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Samuel D. Cloud has displayed
throughout his life; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Samuel D. Cloud, DO, upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition by the Erie County Medical Center Foundation; and be
it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Samuel D. Cloud, DO.
