HONORING Mod-Pac Corp. upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the Operational
Excellence Award by Buffalo Business First on May
16, 2017

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those businesses which substantially contribute to the
economic vitality of their communities and the entire Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, it is the sense of this Legislative Body to
honor Mod-Pac Corp. upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of
the Operational Excellence Award by Buffalo Business First at its 2017
Manufacturing Awards Ceremony celebrated on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at
Salvatore's Italian Gardens in Depew, New York; and

WHEREAS, Founded in 1881, Mod-Pac Corp. is located in Buffalo, New
York; the company manufactures folding cartons used to package a range
of consumer products including dry foods, confectionary, household,
medical and pharmaceuticals; and

WHEREAS, In 2013, Mod-Pack Corp. transacted from a public company
listed on NASDAQ to a private company owned by the Keane family; and

WHEREAS, Under the luminous leadership of President and CEO, Daniel
Keane; COO and CFO, David Lupp; and Vice President of Sales, Phil
Rechin; Mod-Pack Corp. diligently works to continue its sales and
employment growth, along with its plant and equipment investment in the
Buffalo community; and

WHEREAS, The success of Mod-Pack Corp. is in direct correlation to
the efforts of its 375 employees, whose involvement is, and always has
been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled
enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all
endeavors on behalf of the institution and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Mod-Pac Corp. upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of
the Operational Excellence Award by Buffalo Business First on May 16,
2017; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Daniel Keane, President and CEO, Mod-Pac Corp.
