HONORING Lynzee Kelty upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the Orange
County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a
2017 Senior Scholar-Athlete

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord
with its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its
young citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and
accomplishments exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great
State and Nation; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Lynzee Kelty
upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the
Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2017 Senior
Scholar-Athlete; this momentous occasion was celebrated with a Breakfast
on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Kuhl's Highland House, Middletown, New
York; and

WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Lynzee Kelty has
distinguished herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent,
and maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement,
purposefulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful
years; and

WHEREAS, A student at Eldred Junior Senior High School, Lynzee Kelty
is ranked second in her class with a 95.78 GPA; she is a member of the
National Honor Society, Interact Club, Quickstrike, and Varsity Club;
and

WHEREAS, In addition, she is a Varsity845 All-Star, as well as a
member of the soccer, softball, indoor track and outdoor track and field
teams; and

WHEREAS, Dedicated to her community, Lynzee Kelty gives tirelessly
of her time and energies volunteering with the Salvation Army, Little
League and Sunshine Hall Free Library; and

WHEREAS, Lynzee Kelty plans to attend Pace University to study
pre-med, with the goal to become a physician's assistant; and

WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Lynzee Kelty
has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and

WHEREAS, Lynzee Kelty may stand with pride in her achievements,
experiencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her
accomplishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she
continues her education; and

WHEREAS, Lynzee Kelty represents the potential inherent in our most
precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of her
future; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Lynzee Kelty upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as
a 2017 Senior Scholar-Athlete, and to wish her well in her future
endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Lynzee Kelty.
