HONORING Jillian McEneaney upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by the
Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association
as a 2017 Senior Scholar-Athlete

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord
with its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its
young citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and
accomplishments exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great
State and Nation; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Jillian
McEneaney upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition
by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2017
Senior Scholar-Athlete; this momentous occasion was celebrated with a
Breakfast on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Kuhl's Highland House,
Middletown, New York; and

WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Jillian McEneaney has
distinguished herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent,
and maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement,
purposefulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful
years; and

WHEREAS, A student at Monticello High School, Jillian McEneaney has
a 100.38 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society, Student
Government, Interact Club and the Civil Air Patrol; and

WHEREAS, Jillian McEneaney is a member of the cross country team and
both the indoor and outdoor track team, where she holds the title of
captain; and

WHEREAS, Dedicated to her community, Jillian McEneaney gives
tirelessly of her time and energies to volunteering as a Forestburgh
Playhouse usher and a peer tutor; she also works at various food and toy
drives; and

WHEREAS, Jillian McEneaney plans to major in engineering or biology
at college this fall; and

WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Jillian
McEneaney has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and

WHEREAS, Jillian McEneaney may stand with pride in her achievements,
experiencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her
accomplishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she
continues her education; and

WHEREAS, Jillian McEneaney represents the potential inherent in our
most precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to
honor this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of
her future; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jillian McEneaney upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as
a 2017 Senior Scholar-Athlete, and to wish her well in her future
endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jillian McEneaney.
