HONORING Peter Manzello upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by Cellini Lodge
No. 2206, Order Sons of Italy in America

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the young
adults of today and leaders of tomorrow whose character and achievements
best exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Peter Manzello upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by Cellini Lodge No. 2206, Order Sons of Italy in America,
to be celebrated at its Annual Awards Night on Thursday, June 8, 2017,
at the Marcus Christ Community Hall, New Hyde Park, New York; and

WHEREAS, Cellini Lodge No. 2206, Order Sons of Italy in America
(OSIA) is one of the largest lodges of OSIA in New York State; for
nearly 50 years, this vital organization has demonstrated its commitment
to the New Hyde Park community, promoting education, culture, and
charitable giving; and

WHEREAS, The son of Joseph and Jeanne Manzello, Peter Manzello
graduated from Farmingdale State College and is planning to attend SUNY
Old Westbury to major in Education with the goal of becoming a Social
Studies Teacher; and

WHEREAS, This extraordinary young man is the proud recipient of the
Cellini Graduate Scholarship Award; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his college career, Peter Manzello has displayed
exceptional academic achievement, a strong sense of community
responsibility, and a commitment to excellence which is unparalleled;
and

WHEREAS, Peter Manzello, in achieving this academic honor, may take
just pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of
excellence he brings to his family, friends, community and school; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Peter Manzello upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by Cellini Lodge No. 2206, Order Sons of Italy in America,
and to extend best wishes for a future of purposeful success and
well-being; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Peter Manzello.
