HONORING Benjamin W. Hill, Esq. upon the occasion
of being named a Man of Valor by the Frank Chapman
Memorial Institute, Inc. on June 17, 2017

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those distinguished citizens who would devote their life's work
and purpose to community service, contributing to the welfare of the
citizens of their communities and this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Benjamin W. Hill, Esq. upon the occasion of being named a Man of Valor
by the Frank Chapman Memorial Institute, Inc., to be recognized at its
9th Annual Men of Valor Celebration on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at the
Ramada Plaza Hotel, Albany, New York; and

WHEREAS, Benjamin W. Hill is being honored with this auspicious
award in recognition of his trailblazing efforts to make a difference
within the local community; and

WHEREAS, Benjamin W. Hill is an attorney at Dreyer Boyajian LLP, a
civil litigation and white-collar criminal defense firm in Albany, New
York; he focuses his legal practice on serious personal injury, civil
rights and criminal defense; and

WHEREAS, Prior to joining Dreyer Boyajian LLP, Benjamin W. Hill
served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Randolph F. Treece, Federal
Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of New York; and

WHEREAS, Benjamin W. Hill graduated cum laude from the Ohio State
University Moritz College of Law in 2006, and summa cum laude from Ohio
Western University in 2003; he was a 2005 Fulbright Scholarship
recipient in Honduras and is fluent in Spanish; and

WHEREAS, In addition to his illustrious law career, Benjamin W. Hill
has served as an Adjunct Professor at the College of Saint Rose in
Albany, teaching courses in criminal procedure, constitutional law,
comparative criminal justice, and evidence; and

WHEREAS, Benjamin W. Hill has been the proud recipient of numerous
awards and accolades including being named to the New York Super Lawyers
Rising Stars list, as well as being recognized for his pro bono services
in the Northern District of New York; and

WHEREAS, Benjamin W. Hill currently resides with his wife and three
daughters in Albany, where he is an active member and Trustee of Trinity
United Methodist Church; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Benjamin W. Hill has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Benjamin W. Hill, that future generations may know and appreciate his
admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Benjamin W. Hill, Esq. upon the occasion of being named a Man of
Valor by the Frank Chapman Memorial Institute, Inc. on June 17, 2017;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Benjamin W. Hill, Esq.
