HONORING Ian Hayes upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Kenny Award's Best
Actor in a Leading Role for his part as Prince Eric
in Frontier High School's production of Disney's
"The Little Mermaid"

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to commend and
pay tribute to those young people who, by achieving outstanding success
in the arts, have inspired and brought pride to our majestic Empire
State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Ian Hayes upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Kenny
Award's Best Actor in a Leading Role Award for his role as Prince Eric
in Frontier High School's production of Disney's "The Little Mermaid";
and

WHEREAS, Established in 1993, the Kenny Awards were created in honor
of the late Dr. Ken Lipke, the founder of Gibraltar Steel, to honor and
recognize the talent, hard work and dedication of students across
Western New York; and

WHEREAS, A young man of singular distinction, Ian Hayes has
distinguished himself as a young man of superlative ability,
establishing a high standard of excellence and purposefulness of life
rarely achieved in youthful years; and

WHEREAS, Ian Hayes will be representing Frontier and Western New
York on Monday, June 26, 2017, at the Minskoff Theater in New York City,
competing against 74 other students for the Jimmy Award; and

WHEREAS, Ian Hayes, in achieving this high honor, may take just
pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of excellence he
brings to his family, friends, community and school; and

WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to wish Ian Hayes continued success throughout his school years and
beyond; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Ian Hayes upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
Kenny Award's Best Actor in a Leading Role for his part as Prince Eric
in Frontier High School's production of Disney's "The Little Mermaid";
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Ian Hayes.
