COMMENDING Kerns Avenue Bowling Center upon the
occasion of celebrating its 10th Anniversary
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize those
small businesses within the State of New York which contribute to the
economic health and vitality of the communities they serve; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Kerns Avenue Bowling Center upon the occasion of celebrating its
10th Anniversary; and
WHEREAS, Over the course of the past decade, Kerns Avenue Bowling
Center of Buffalo, New York, has become an integral piece of the town's
history; and
WHEREAS, Under the able leadership of Dan Adams, Jr., Kerns Avenue
Bowling Center has been revitalized to accommodate 130 bowlers on 16
lanes, and can hold another 80 people in its attached bar and restaurant
area; and
WHEREAS, Kerns Avenue Bowling Center serves as a community meeting
space, running bowling programs for youth and seniors, serving as a
fundraising site for the Buffalo Slow Roll, and hosting birthday parties
as well as its weekly Beat the Champ competition; and
WHEREAS, Known for its excellent customer service and inviting
atmosphere, Kerns Avenue Bowling Center has demonstrated continuous
recreational enjoyment to the residents and communities which it serves;
and
WHEREAS, The success of Kerns Avenue Bowling Center is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its staff, whose involvement is, and
always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled
enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all
endeavors on behalf of the business and the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Kerns Avenue Bowling
Center; and
WHEREAS, Small businesses such as Kerns Avenue Bowling Center exert
a strong, positive influence on the communities they serve and are a
crucial element in the economy of New York State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Kerns Avenue Bowling Center upon the occasion of celebrating its
10th Anniversary; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dan Adams, Jr., Owner, Kerns Avenue Bowling Center,
Buffalo, New York.
