CONGRATULATING Anne Joynt upon the occasion of
being named President of the Western New York
Women's Bar Association

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize those
esteemed individuals within our midst whose professional lives, personal
endeavors and dedicated community service are an example and inspiration
to their colleagues, friends, and family; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and fully in accordance with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Anne Joynt upon the occasion of being named President of
the Western New York Women's Bar Association; and

WHEREAS, A native of Medina, New York, Anne Joynt graduated magna
cum laude from the State University of New York College at Geneseo with
a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Spanish; and

WHEREAS, Anne Joynt went on to earn a Juris Doctor degree from the
State University of New York at Buffalo Law School, where she served as
co-editor of the Human Rights Law Review and was inducted into the Order
of Barristers for her moot court work; and

WHEREAS, Upon the completion of her studies, Anne Joynt began her
illustrious law career in 2005, at Lipsitz & Ponterio LLC, where she was
promoted to Junior Partner in 2014; and

WHEREAS, With a true passion for her career, Anne Joynt represents
individuals who have suffered injuries as a result of exposure to
asbestos, as well as those injured by childhood lead poisoning, motor
vehicle accidents, construction accidents, medical malpractice and
defective products; and

WHEREAS, Anne Joynt has been the proud recipient of numerous awards
and accolades including her designation as a Legal Elite Leader by
Buffalo Business First, in which she was recognized by her peers as one
of Western New York's top attorneys; and

WHEREAS, In addition, this esteemed woman was selected as Attorney
of the Year by The Daily Record, and as one of Buffalo Business First's
40 Under 40; and

WHEREAS, A true asset to her community, Anne Joynt has served as an
Instructor of Trial Advocacy at SUNY Buffalo Law School, a Coach and
Attorney Advisor for Cheektowaga High School's Mock Trial Team, and a
Board Member for the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library Nickel City
Professionals Committee; and

WHEREAS, Professionally, Anne Joynt is a member of the Bar
Association of Erie County Board of Directors, Vice President of SUNY
Buffalo Law Alumni Association Board of Directors, and Secretary of the
Minority Bar Association of Western New York Foundation, Inc. Board of
Directors; and


WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Anne Joynt has displayed
throughout her life; and

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Anne Joynt upon the occasion of being named President of
the Western New York Women's Bar Association; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Anne Joynt.
