HONORING Dale Moser upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the New York State
Hubbell Award

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Dale Moser upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the New
York State Hubbell Award; and

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
in the best interest of their communities are an asset beyond
remuneration and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Dale Moser opened Moser's Maple in 1970, and remains active
in the business with his three sons, Don, Jake and Bryan; and

WHEREAS, With a steadfast commitment to public service, Dale Moser
was instrumental in the construction and layout of the American Maple
Museum in the 1970s; he has held several positions within the
organization including President and longtime member of the Board of
Directors; and

WHEREAS, Dale Moser has also worked on the Capital Improvements
Committee within the Museum, most notably playing a key role with the
installation of the handicap accessible elevator; he continues to work
tirelessly on the breakfast and dinner fundraising events, and gives
educational tours to visitors from across the globe; and

WHEREAS, A true asset to the maple industry, Dale Moser has served
as a past state board member of Lewis County Maple Producers
Association, a State Delegate and past member of the NNY Maple Producers
Association; he has also volunteered at the Great New York State Fair
and with countless other New York State Maple Producers Association
events; and

WHEREAS, Dale Moser has enjoyed years of educating the public on the
maple industry through television appearances and radio stints; in
addition, he conducts tours of his maple sugarhouse and has participated
in the Lewis County Conservation Field Days for the past seven years,
educating nearly 120 sixth graders; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Dale Moser has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their

commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Dale Moser, that future generations may know and appreciate his
admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dale Moser upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the New York State Hubbell Award; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dale Moser.
