Senate Resolution No. 3406

HONORING Stacey Pierce upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 2018 Chamber
Champion Award by the Geneva Area Chamber of
Commerce on January 25, 2018

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals who substantially contribute to the
economic vitality of their communities and the entire Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concerns, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Stacey Pierce upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
2018 Chamber Champion Award by the Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce to be
celebrated at its Annual Dinner Banquet on Thursday, January 25, 2018,
at Club 86 in Geneva, New York; and

WHEREAS, This inaugural award is given to outstanding board and
committee members who have gone above and beyond to show their support
and involvement towards not only understanding, but participating in
various Chamber programs and events; Stacey Pierce is truly deserving of
this prestigious honor; and

WHEREAS, Stacey Pierce is an active supporter of the Geneva Area
Chamber of Commerce and is committed to informing others about the
benefits of the Chamber and how it can assist new member businesses to
prosper and thrive; and

WHEREAS, In addition to her valuable work with the Chamber, Stacey
Pierce serves as both Assistant Vice President and Dean of Campus
Operations for Hobart and William Smith College; in this role, she
strives to improve the quality of education for the people of New York
State; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Stacey Pierce upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the 2018 Chamber Champion Award by the Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Stacey Pierce.
