COMMEMORATING the 100th Anniversary of the
Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce on January 25,
2018
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those organizations which substantially contribute to
the economic vitality of their communities and the entire Empire State;
and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Saratoga County Chamber of
Commerce, to be celebrated at a dinner on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at
the Saratoga Springs City Center in Saratoga Springs, New York; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 1918, the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce is
a resource and catalyst to develop, promote, and support a diverse
business community in the Saratoga Springs area; and
WHEREAS, For the past century, this esteemed organization has served
to encourage and support new businesses and professional opportunities,
facilitate new partnerships, and promote the growth of current
businesses in the community; and
WHEREAS, Located in the heart of Saratoga Springs on Clinton Street,
the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce is comprised of members of the
community and local business leaders working together to support
economic growth and prosperity; and
WHEREAS, Through offering an exchange of ideas, as well as education
and advocacy on behalf of its members, the Saratoga County Chamber of
Commerce has fostered the growth and well-being of its membership, and
has enhanced the quality of life in the community; and
WHEREAS, The Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce offers its members
numerous opportunities including networking through various events,
promotion of each and every business, free and confidential professional
support and advice to local business owners and entrepreneurs, a range
of health insurance products primarily for business owners who work for
themselves and have no employees or small local family owned businesses
with 2-49 employees, energy alliance through its partner, Energy Next of
Saratoga Springs, advocacy for its members and its communities, and Job
Zone, an online source to help connect job seekers with our members in
Saratoga County who are looking to find talent to fill open jobs; and
WHEREAS, A solid cornerstone of its region, the Saratoga County
Chamber of Commerce will continue to serve as the leading resource
sought by the public for information about tourism, local events, and
business education for many years to come; and
WHEREAS, Over its distinguished 100 year history, the Saratoga
County Chamber of Commerce has demonstrated continuous service to the
residents and communities which it serves; and
WHEREAS, The success of the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce is
in direct correlation to the efforts of its members, whose involvement
is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the organization and the community it serves;
and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to the Saratoga County
Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional organization and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling success it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Saratoga County Chamber of
Commerce on January 25, 2018; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce.
